Crawford Rae

crawford rae,
have you heard of
him? he was scottish,
short
about 5’ 4″, his
mustache
was addicting, so in

1947,
he appeared in
morton and dumbar,
a british short film aired on
the bbc, crawford rae
played johnny crickton,
a short scottish man,
5’ 4″, addicting mustache

you knew it was
addicting cause the
women wouldn’t stop
bothering old johnny crickton,
wife, mistress, and like
mistress like maid,
the ladies next

door, the housewives mrs.
morton and mrs.
dumbar,
they all asked,

mr. crickton, mr. crickton,
we love your mustache,
will it welcome our lips in?”

mr. crickton (the character)
was gay, which made the
whole thing worth
watching, but crawford rae
was not; he married the girl who
played mrs.
dumbar, then

one day he shaved off his
mustache
and thereafter stood in a
robe staring at himself in
the mirror every morning,
thinking:

who
tracks
the steps
of glory
to
the
grave?”

even a hair
of a mustache
casts a
shadow.
