There’s no reason to be worried about your blemishes. For one, nobody notices them as much as you do, because everyone else is concerned with themselves. Second, your defects have nothing to do with your confidence. The most confident people often have many imperfections. You know this from comedians* who are able to own an entire room even though they weren’t “attractive.” It doesn’t matter to them because they aren’t focused on hiding any imperfections. They develop confidence and act in a manner that’s congruent with their status as the owner of the room. Worry is futile.
*I would be a fool not to mention that this is a reference to Patrice O’Neal, in my opinion the greatest philosopher-comic to ever live.
