The more you develop relationships and take on leadership roles, you more likely you’ll be put in a position where you have to comfort somebody in a time of need.
Make sure you remain steady in these times. There’s no reason to feel uncomfortable about comforting another person, though sometimes you do. Perhaps that’s because you don’t feel equipped to do the best job for the other person.
Seek to understand their problems and pay more attention to them as they speak. Actively listen—be aware—and you will understand better what they need.
