On leisure

When you find yourself relaxing, unoccupied by what you might consider a usual task, are you relaxing, or are you wasting your time?

There’s a difference. Rest is vital. Everyone needs it, including you. But you’re not resting from anything if you decide to give your time to others in abundance and desert all of the things you are responsible for doing. If your resting time becomes more of an occupation than rest, you are doing yourself a disservice. This requires nothing more than good judgment and self-awareness. Rest has its place and role—identify that place and keep it there.
