As you know, our correspondences will soon come to an end. I’ve committed to writing to you for ninety days, and we’re only a handful of days away from the finish line. Perhaps you’ll still want me to correspond with you, though I can’t guarantee that it will happen.
However, I do want to recommend you begin a writing practice: every day, compose one sentence that summarizes a feeling or significant event in your life. It’s a compelling thought experiment. For one, you have to pick one theme or event you will address in your sentence. Also, you don’t have much room to do any explaining, so you might have to employ other means to create a meaningful sentence. Maybe that means writing an analogy or a variation on a saying. But no matter what, you have to get creative. It’ll be a fun way to exercise your concise writing muscle.
