Using ImageMagick to Speed Up Design

April 13, 2020

i’m sure there’s a way to do this in photoshop.

it’s way more satisfying to do things in a command line.

documenting this in case i ever need to use it again.

if you’re interested in trying this out, install imagemagick. I recommend installing homebrew and then running brew install imagemagick. it’s fairly easy for a non-programmer like me to do this.

make a copy if you’re going to use mogrify. it overwrites images.

convert all images to a certain height

```mogrify -geometry x600 *.jpg
convert all images to grayscale
```mogrify -type Grayscale *.jpg
